Undoubtedly one of the rising stars of the international brass scene, Isobel Daws is not only a stunning trombonist but an all-round musician of the highest calibre. Here in her debut album, she shows off so many sides of that musicianship, from staples of the classical trombone repertoire, through some beautiful arrangements to utterly compelling performances of contemporary repertoire.
Having only just graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, Isobel already has an impressive CV under her belt. In 2017 she received the BBC Young Brass Award and during her studies has performed with ensembles such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Philharmonic, BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonia amongst many others. She is now continuing her studies in as part of the Karajan Academy at the Berlin Philharmonic.
This is sure to be just the start of an incredible career.
